Laser hair removal gives you permanent hair reduction, so the razor, the wax strips and the tweezers stop being part of your week. At our Powell clinic, your provider treats each area on a dual-wavelength laser matched to your complexion and hair type.

How a Laser Series Works
Hair grows in cycles, so the laser works across a series of visits. This is how the course runs from your first conversation to your last appointment.
Consultation
Your provider looks at your skin, your hair and the areas you want treated, then confirms you are a good candidate. You leave knowing the single-visit and package cost for each area before you commit to anything.
Your Plan
Choose the areas to start with and whether to buy a package or go visit by visit. Many clients begin with one or two areas they deal with most, such as underarms or the bikini line, and add others later.
Treatment Visits
Each visit treats the follicles that are actively growing at that moment. Your provider adjusts the settings as your hair thins, and a single area takes about 30 minutes from the time you sit down.
Spacing the Series
Each visit is timed to catch new hair as it moves into its active growth phase. Your next appointment goes on the calendar before you leave, which keeps the whole course on schedule.
When Will I See Results?
Treated hair sheds in the weeks after each visit, and what grows back gets finer as the course goes on.
Treated hairs shed over the next one to three weeks. Some regrowth is normal, because only follicles in an active growth phase respond at each visit.
Regrowth comes in finer, lighter and patchier, and shaving starts to feel optional instead of daily.
Most clients see permanent reduction, with far less hair and only the odd fine strand left in the treated area.
Before, During and After Your Visit
- Put the wax strips and tweezers away in the weeks before your first visit. A razor is the only grooming tool to use in the lead-up.
- Shave the treatment area the day before so the skin surface is smooth when you sit down.
- Come in with bare skin on that spot, free of lotion, deodorant and makeup.
- Just back from a beach trip or a tanning bed? Mention it when you book so we can pick a date that suits your skin.
- Bring your medication list so your provider can check for anything that makes skin more sensitive to light.
- Your provider checks your complexion and hair color, then sets the laser for that combination.
- You and your provider both wear protective eyewear while the laser is in use.
- Most clients feel a warm snap with each pulse, and the handpiece cools the skin as it moves.
- Small areas such as the chin take only a few minutes of laser time, while the back or legs use the whole appointment.
- Warmth and a light pink flush are normal for the rest of the day, close to a mild sunburn.
- Wear sunscreen daily and keep the treated area away from strong sun, hot tubs and saunas for a day or two.
- There is nothing to recover from, so work and errands carry on as planned.
- Shaving between visits is fine. Skip waxing and plucking until your course is finished.
